2015 Listers Corner
Species List Submission Form (250 minimum for a State List submission; see specific lists for minimums in other categories)

This form is designed to allow birders to submit a list of birds which they have identified in Illinois. Only birds that are on the official state checklist may be entered. The "sp." checkbox may only be used if none of the checked birds are otherwise included. For example, "scoter sp." may be checked if none of the three individual scoter species are checked. For a submission other than a state list, such as year, month, day, county, yard or site, please designate the type after your name: i.e. Jane Smith's 2015 Calhoun List.

Two points:
1) You don't need to be a member of IOS in order to be included on the list (although your membership is welcomed).
2) List submission is not mandatory in order to be included on any of the lists, with the exception being the reporting of any Big Year over 300 species.
